- Negative Marking- SSC CHSL has a negative marking of 0.5 while SSC MTS has that of 0.25.
- CBT- The subjects included for CBT of CHSL are General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. While for the MTS exam, CBT includes the subjects of Intelligence Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English, and General Knowledge.
- Descriptive Paper- The descriptive paper of SSC CHSL is conducted for 100 marks which includes essay writing and application letter (English/Hindi).
