Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department has announced 5,000 posts for the post of Multi Tasking Workers. These workers will be appointed in all the subdivisions and divisions of Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department.
How to Apply for HPPWD Multi Task Worker Recruitment?
To apply for the post of a multi tasking worker, candidates can follow the steps provided below.
Step 1: The candidates will be required to apply in the prescribed format.
Step 2: After you have filled the form, send the application along with self attested photocopies of certificates.
Step 3: You need to send it to the concerned Executive Engineer of the Division who will compile all the applications received on or before the stated last date.
Step 4: The documents of the applicant will be verified with the originals at the time of counseling.
Step 5: You need to send these documents along with your application form.
1) Aadhar Card (for identity proof and Residence proof
2) Certificate of Age proof
3) Certificate of Himachali bonafide
4) Certificate attesting that no family member of the candidate is working in the Government sector or PSU sector.
5) Social Category certificate
6) Marksheet of Class VIIIth or certificate of passing
7) BPL certificate (if applicable).

To qualify as a HPPWD Multi Task Worker, you need to possess these criteria compulsorily.
Educational Criteria
The candidate should be Middle-Class Passed (8th Passed) from a school/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
Age Limit
Candidates need to be 18 to 45 years of age if they want to be eligible for HPPWD Multi Task Worker.

- Bonafide Himachali
- Has a sound mind.
- No family member of the candidate should Government/PSU/Board job
- Have never been involved in any act of criminal nature.
- Medically fit to perform strenuous manual work’ Permanent resident of the village/Gram Panchayat Urban local body of the area’ located in the Sub-Division/Division, HPPWD , for whom the recruitment is being done.
HPPWD Multi Task Worker Selection Process
The selection process of HPPWD Multi Task Worker Recruitment will be purely based on merit. A selection committee will be made who will judge the candidates based on various factors mentioned below.
The committee will be composed of –
- Executive Engineer of division concerned
- Assistant Engineer of division concerned
- Superintendent

HPPWD Multi Task Worker Salary and Job Profile
The candidates selected would get a salary of Rs 4,500 every month along with various allowances.
Their job profile would include:
- All work assigned relating to construction and maintenance of roads and buildings.
- Miscellaneous unskilled jobs such as earth work, carriage of material, assistance to artisans/technical staff of HPPWD, patrolling of roads, clearing and cleaning of roads etc.
- Any other duties assigned by Junior Engineer/ official concerned.
- The Government of Himachal Pradesh shall have the right to relax/ amend any of terms and conditions/ provisions mentioned in the above scheme/ policy in public interest.
