  • Andrew Symonds, the former Australia cricketer, and two-time World Cup winner died in a car crash on Saturday night.
  • The police confirmed that Andrew Symonds (46-year-old) was the sole passenger in the crash just outside of Townsville in his home state of Queensland.
  • Andrew Symonds played 26 Tests and 198 ODIs (one-day internationals) for Australia from 1998 to 2009. He was also a top-rate fielder and in 2003 and 2007, he was a key part of Australia’s back-to-back 50-over World Cups triumphs.
