WBPSC Senior Scientific Officer Recruitment: Eligibility

Age

Candidates should not be more than 36 years as on 1st January 2022.

Qualifications

Essential:

• A Second class Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized

University or equivalent, and

• Five years experience in analytical methods and research.

Or

• A degree in Science having Chemistry as one of the subjects from a

recognized University or equivalent, and

• Seven years experience of work in Forensic Chemistry.

Desirable:

Experience of work in a recognized Forensic Science Laboratory

Important note: The ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement but such knowledge is not mandatory for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali unless specifically mentioned. such ability will be tested at the time of the interview. 

WBPSC Senior Scientific Officer Recruitment: Fee

The application fee for the WBPSC SSO Recruitment 2022 is Rs. 210. There are some other payment charges that are mentioned in this table:

For online payment throughdebit/credit cards:	Convenience fee @ 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimumof Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on such conveniencefee.
For online payment using netbanking facility:	Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. onsuch convenience fee.
For offline payment throughBank Counter:	Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only.

• SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having a physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. 
• BC candidates of West Bengal/other States are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid. No exemption of fee is available to ST/ST candidates of other states.
• No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
