Punjab Govt Schemes for Women Development

Concessional Bus Travel Facility To Women	All the women aged 60 years and above residing in the State of Punjab and Women residing with the State Govt. employees staying in Chandigarh have been given the benefit of Concessional Bus Travel in the Punjab Roadways and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation Buses.
Awareness Programme for Improving adverse Sex Ratio	Creating awareness among the masses through camps to be organized at the District and block-level regarding serious adverse implications of gender imbalance In the society.
Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme	To encourage enrollment of girl students to continue their further studies in a Government school and to reduce the school dropout rate. Under the scheme, free bicycles are provided to all girl students of 9th to 12th classes studying in Government schools of the state.
Bebe Nanki Laadli Beti Kalyan Scheme	To curb female feticide and provide better education to girls. Along with this, financial assistance will be provided to the families from time to time under the scheme.

Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme	Under this Scholarship scheme tuition fee waiver is to be given to the students on the basis of percent of marks secured in the qualifying examination
Pre-Matric Scholarship for Other Backward Classes Students	A Pre-Matric Scholarship is given to those OBC students whose parents/guardians income from all sources does not exceed to Rs.44,500/- per annum
Post Matric Scholarship for OBC	To provide financial assistance to the other Backward Classes (OBC) students studying at Post Matriculation or Post Secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
Attendance Scholarship to Scheduled Caste Primary Girl Students	A Scholarship is given to the Scheduled Caste Primary Girl Students with minimum 75% class attendance.

Name	Description
Grant to Scheduled Caste Students Studying in Medical & Engg. Colleges	Under this scheme, a special grant is being given to the Scheduled Castes students studying in Medical and Engineering Colleges and whose Parents/Guardians’ income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 60,965/- P.A.
Award to Brilliant Scheduled Caste Students	Under this scheme, Scheduled Castes students studying from 6th to 12th classes are awarded Rs.100/-P.M. per student who secure 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions amongst educational block.
Award to SC Sports Students (6-12 Classes)	To inculcate the spirit of competition among Scheduled Castes students in the field of sports.
Post Matric Scholarship to Scheduled Caste Students	To provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students studying at Post Matriculation or Post Secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.

Macro management Work Plan Scheme	Under this scheme, the Government aims to  reclaim the alkali soils, promote agricultural mechanization, and provide incentives for pest and weed management.
Non-Plan Schemes	It is operative in the department under whichdistrict level, block-level farmer training camps are organized in both Kharif and rabi season to disseminate the latest technology to the farmers.
Gramin Bhandaran Yojna	Under this scheme, warehouses will be constructed to keep the crop of the farmers safe. Farmers will be provided with loans for the construction of the warehouse and a subsidy on loans will also be given.
