General Overview of the CAPF Punarvaas Scheme

The Union Home Ministry under the direction of Amit Shah launched the CAPF Punarvaas Yojna. The said scheme is an excellent initiative for the benefit of retired personnel belonging to central armed police forces like CRPF and BSF. The MHA is soon going to launch a CAPF Punarvaas portal that will help the retired personnel who are seeking re-employment to find an appropriate job with private securities agencies. 

How does CAPF Punarvaas Scheme Work?

As we mentioned earlier, the Union Home Ministry is going to launch a portal under the CAPF Punarvaas Yojna. This portal works by enabling the retired personnel to upload their personal details to the Welfare & Rehabilitation Board (WARB) along with their area of expertise and preferred employment location. On the other hand, the home ministry also runs a portal named PSARA under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act to register private security agencies (PSAs).

Both these portals have been interlinked. Hence, the PSAs through the PSARA website can access the database of retired CAPFs personnel who have applied on ‘CAPF Punarvaas’, thereby resulting in a unified platform for both job seekers and providers.

Over the last few years, there has been an increase in the number of business establishments requiring security services. This has rendered to the substantial growth of PSAs which has led to increased demand for security personnel.
