The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is responsible for developing and implementing a transparent procedure for evaluating and selecting personnel for a variety of banks. IBPS releases recruitment notifications for various posts. Last year, it released a recruitment notification for 7858 IBPS Clerks to be recruited in various states. For recruitment into these posts, IBPS chooses candidates through a two-stage process. The stages are Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

How to Apply for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment?
While filling out the application form, keep your Aadhar card and educational mark sheets with you. Below are the steps to fill the online application for the IBPS Clerk exam:
Step 1- Visit the IBPS official website.
Step 2- If you are a first-time candidate, complete your one-time registration with IBPS first.
Step 3- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab on the homepage of IBPS.
Step 4- Select Clerk and the notification for the exam of the post that you are trying for.
Step 5- Fill all the relevant and mandatory fields and upload the required documents. After submitting the form, you will reach the fee payment section.
Step 6- Pay the application fee and note down your application number. Download the application form for future reference.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility 2022
The candidate should fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for the IBPS Clerk recruitment exam.
1. IBPS Clerk Age Limit
The candidate must be of age 20 Years to 28 Years. He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1994 and no later than 01.07.2002 (both dates inclusive).

2. IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should possess a certificate as proof of passing the qualifying examination.
- Valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate stating that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
- Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
- Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT)
3. IBPS Clerk Nationality Criterion
- India
- Nepal or
- Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
IBPS Clerk Selection Process
To get selected for a post, you are required to clear all two stages of the IBPS Clerk Selection Process. These 2 stages are
- Preliminary examination: The duration of the exam is 1 hour. The paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. The total marks are 100 out of which 30 questions will be from English Language, and 35 questions will be from Numerical Ability and 35 from Reasoning Ability.
- Mains examination: The duration of the exam is 160 minutes. IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will now constitute of 190 questions.
