Chess Olympiad Schedule 2022: The International Chess Federation (FIDE) chess olympiad will be taking place soon. This time, India will be hosting it. It is the 44th Chess Olympiad. From the 28th of July to the 8th of August, various rounds will take place in Chennai. The FIDE Chess Olympiad started in 1927. Chess Olympiad 2022 Dates
The opening ceremony for the World Chess Olympiad 2022 will be held on 28th July at 7:00 PM. When all the rounds are done, the Federation will organize a closing ceremony on the 9th of August at 4:00 PM. Besides these, the important dates in the Chess Olympiad Schedule 2022 are as follows.

How to Register for the 44th Chess Olympiad?
The registration for the participants of the World Chess Olympiad 2022 started on 28th April. Participants had to register latest by the 27th of May 2022. However, in case of missing the deadline, the participants can register by paying a penalty of 100 EUR per person till the 27th of June. The following steps are a guide for doing the registration.

World Chess Olympiad 2022 Dress Code
All the participating teams have to be present for the olympiad in proper uniforms. There are two options- Trouser suits or Blazers with trousers/skirts. There should be the Federation’s logo on the uniform. Every participant’s country must be visible on their uniforms.
