TNPSC Group 2 Eligibility Criteria: TNPSC Group 2 is a state-level exam conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) every year. TNPSC Group 2 Age Limit

The age limit for TNPSC Group 2 is 18 years to 30 years for each post except a few mentioned below:

• Sub Registrar Grade-II – 20 to 30 years
• Probation Officer in the Prison Department – 22 to 40 years
• Probation Officer in the Social Defence Department – 26 to 40 years

According to the eligibility guidelines released by the TNPSC, the age limit for the post of Deputy Commercial Tax Officer is 18 to 30 years. For the candidates with a law degree, the maximum age limit will be 32 years.

Age Relaxation: There is no maximum age limit for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, Destitute Widows, Denotified Communities, or any Backward classes for the TNPSC Group 2 exam. 

TNPSC Group 2 Nationality

Candidates applying for the TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2022 should be a citizen of India. There are some other guidelines too for the candidates who are residing in foreign countries. The guidelines for the candidates are as follows:

• Should be a citizen of India
• Should be a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan
• Should be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently
• Should be a person who has an Indian origin and has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, and Zaire to settle in India permanently.

It is important to understand that the candidates from the state of Tamil Nadu are given more preference than the candidates from the other states of India.
