The primary objective of releasing the answer key is to instill confidence and transparency in the system to help applicants calculate their marks. Here is a list of steps required to calculate marks for a particular exam.

Step 1: Calculate the number of correct answers attempted in an exam. Multiply this result by marks that a question carries.

Step 2: Add the number of incorrect answers. Now multiply the number of incorrect answers with the negative marking.

Step 3: Subtract the result of Step 2 from that of Step 1. This numerical figure is your expected marks.
