The Karnataka School Education Board (KSEB) organizes, the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) to recruit teachers for the Government school of Karnataka. The Examination is conducted for classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8. Before applying for this examination, it is important to know about the syllabus and examination pattern of KARTET.

  • In the Karnataka TET (KARTET) Selection Process there are two papers in the recruitment process.
  • The Karnataka TET (KARTET) comprises a five-section of subjects i.e Language 1 & 2, Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Social Studies.
  • Both the papers correspond to 150 MCQs, with an aggregate of 150 marks.
  • Paper-1 for those candidates, who aspire to teach in classes 1 to 5 & Paper-2 for those candidates, who aspire to teach in classes 6 to 8.

Karnataka TET (KARTET) Paper 1 Syllabus

Paper-1 of Karnataka TET (KARTET) is for those candidates, who want to teach in classes 1 to 5 in the Government school of Karnataka. In Paper-1 comprises a five-section of subjects i.e Language 1 & 2, Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Social Studies for visually impaired candidates (in place of EVS or Mathematics). The total number of questions in the examination is 150 for 150 Marks.

Karnataka TET (KARTET) Paper 2 Syllabus

Paper-2 of Karnataka TET (KARTET) is for those candidates, who want to teach in classes 6 to 8 in the Government school of Karnataka. Some sections are the same as that of paper-1. The section of Child Pedagogy, Language 1 & 2, Social Studies are the same for Paper-2 as well. Now, we will be looking at the further part of the syllabus. The total number of questions in the examination is 150 for 150 Marks.
