Karnataka School Education Board (KSEB) organizes Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) every year. A deserving applicant who clears this examination can apply to the different government schools in the state of Karnataka. Karnataka TET (KARTET) Educational Criteria 2022!
The Educational Qualification Eligibility Criteria is different for candidates who applied for classes 1st to 5th & 6th to 8th. Details are given below.
Paper-1 Minimum Qualification who applied for classes (1st to 5th)
- PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
- Graduation with at least 50% (Percentage) marks passed or appearing in FInal-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Paper-2 Minimum Qualification who applied for classes (6th to 8th)
- Graduation with at least 50 Percentage marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
- Graduation with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- PUC/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.E1.Ed).
- PUC/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% (Percentage) marks and passed or appearing in Final-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Karnataka TET (KARTET) Educational Qualification Eligibility Relaxation
- Relaxation of up to 5% (Percentage) in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification meant for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC / ST / C1 / Differently abled.
- The minimal qualifications referred above, apply to the teachers of Languages, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science only.
- Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education of Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their KARTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations with specified marks
- Board will consider a Diploma/Degree course in school teacher education honored by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)
- The applicant not having any of the above qualifications shall not be eligible for appearing in the “Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test”.
Karnataka TET (KARTET) Age Eligibility Criteria 2022!
As per the Notification, there are no age eligibility criteria given in the notification but, if Karnataka School Education Board (KSEB) is given any Age Criteria in their latest notification of 2022. Then we will update you here.
Karnataka TET (KARTET) Certificate Eligibility 2022
- Candidates who will clear the examination will be receiving a certificate. The Commission did not give any hard copy of a certificate, you have to download it from the Commission official website after clearing the examination.
- The candidates who fall under the General category/2A/2B/3A/3B should secure a minimum of 60% to be eligible.
- The candidates who fall under the Scheduled caste / Scheduled Tribe / C-1, differently-abled persons should secure a minimum of 55% to be eligible.
- Qualifying the exam would not confer a right for recruitment /employment to any person as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
- The Certificate of Karnataka TET (KARTET) is eligible for 7 Years.
