The CUET exam is round the corner. Aspirants must be working hard to ace this prestigious entrance exam and get into their desired university. However, this is not an easy task.   • The CUET Exam has three sections namely Section IA and Section IB, Section II and Section III.
  • The first section will judge candidates on how fluent their hold on two languages are.
  • The second section is Domain-specific and will be chosen by candidates on which subject they want to take admission.
  • The third section will not be compulsory. It will have general questions like Aptitude, Reasoning, and Current Affairs.

CUET Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of the CUET sample paper and the exam in general is explained below.

  • The question paper will have a total 175 number of questions.
  • The questions will be asked in the English language.
  • 1 mark will be given for every correct answer.
  •  0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Type of questions asked in CUET

Here is a glimpse of the nature of questions asked in CUET Exam

Section 1 A

There are 13 languages in this section. They are given below. Candidates can choose any language from the given ones.

Languages: Malayalam, Marathi, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Urdu

Section 1 B

There are 19 languages in this section. They are given below. Candidates can choose any language except the language chosen in Section 1 A.

Languages: Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan.

Section II: Domain-Specific Subjects

There are 27 domain-specific subjects in this Section. Here we have given all of them. The candidates can choose a maximum of 6 domains in their application form to get their desired University. You can get the list of domains given below:
