Annamalai University commences Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET)2022 with the aim to recruit professors in various institutes and universities of Tamil Nadu. This state-level examination helps the aspirants to achieve a responsible job. However, there’s certain eligibility to use . A Prescribed process to use and lots of other things that aspirants should read before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have the nationality of India.Candidates must have attained the degree of post-graduation from any college/ institute recognized by UGC New Delhi .Candidate must have acquired 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category candidates) within the qualifying examination.Candidates must have successfully completed with Science, Humanities (including languages), Electronic Sciences, computing and applications, science .Those in their last year of a master’s degree are also eligible to apply.

TNSET 2022 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in Pen and Paper medium.
  • The languages used will be English and Tamil.
  • Paper will have Multiple Choice Questions
  • For each accurate answer, the contestant will earn two points.
  • Paper 1 will last 75 minutes and will consist of 100 questions worth 50 points.
  • Paper 2 will last 75 minutes and will consist of 100 questions worth 50 points.
  • Paper 2 will be for the duration of 2 hours, there will be 75 questions for 150 marks.

Exam Syllabus

  • Paper 1- The paper is to test the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidates. This paper will help to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
  • Papers 2 and 3 will be used to assess the candidate’s understanding of the subject of choice. This will be an objective sort of paper.
  • General and Aptitude will be consisted of topics such as Reading Comprehension, Teaching & Research Aptitude, Communication, Logical Reasoning Ability, Information & Communication Technology, Data Interpretation, People & Environment, Higher Education System: Governance, Polity & Administration
  • Micro and Macroeconomic Analysis, Public Finance, Development & Planning, International Economics, Statistical Methods, and Indian Economy will be covered in Economics (Paper-I).
  • Economics (Paper-III) will cover topics like Collusive & Non-Collusive Oligopolies Theory of Demand, Production, Accelerator & Investment, Taxation, Different Approaches to the Money Supply, Monetary Approach & Adjustment, Optimal Currency Areas, RBI Policies, Commercial & Co-operative Banks, and so on.
  • Comparative Politics & Political Analysis, Political Theory & Thought, Public Administration, Indian Government & Policies, and International Relations will be covered in Political Science (Paper-II).
  • Political Science (Paper-III) will cover themes such as modernization, power and authority, political socialisation and culture, political development, the Supreme Court, judicial activism, political elite, bureaucracy and development challenges, and the end of the Cold War, among others.
  • Learning Processes, Perceptual Processes, Memory & Forgetting, Motivation & Emotion, Thinking & Problem-Solving, Human Abilities, and Personality will be covered in Psychology (Paper-II).
  • Neurophysiology of Learning, Signal Detection, Learning, Intelligence, Existential & Humanistic Theories, Models of Memory, Cognitive methods, Creative thinking & Problem-Solving, Research Designs, ANOVA, Psychological Scaling, and other topics will be covered in Psychology (Paper-III).
  • Topics covered in Sociology (Paper-II) include Sociological Theory, Sociological Concepts, Sociological Methodology, and more.
  • Sociology (Paper-III) will be consisted of topics such as Neo-functionalism & Neo-Marxism, Phenomenology & Ethnomethodology, Structuration & Postmodernism, Contemporary Issues, Theoretical Perspectives, Current Debates, Challenges of Globalization, etc
  • History (Paper-II) will cover topics such as Ancient Indian History, Concepts, Ideas, and Terms, Medieval, and Modern Indian History, while History (Paper-III) will cover topics such as 4th to 12th century BC-AD Indian History, Indus Valley Civilization to Mahajanapadas, India from 1206 to 1526, Foundations of British Rule, Economic & Social Policies, National Movement & Post-Independent India, and Socio-economic & Cultural Life under the Mugh
  • Financial & Management Accounting, Business Environment, Economics, Statistics & Data Processing, Management, Marketing, Financial Management, Banking & Financial Institutions, International Business, and Income Tax Law & Planning will be covered in Commerce (Paper II & III).
  • Education (Paper-II) will consist of several topics like the methodology of Educational Research, Philosophical, Sociological, and Psychological Foundations of Education.
  • Education (Paper-III) will cover topics such as growth and development, Western schools of philosophy, intelligence theories and measurement, concept and principles of guidance and counselling, personality and its types, descriptive, experimental, and qualitative research, universalization of elementary education, and so on.
  • Social Work (Paper II & III) will cover topics such as Philosophy & Principles of Social Work, Social Work Evaluation, Theories of Social Change & Disorganization, Social Work Education, Human Motivation & Problems of Human Behavior and Coping Mechanisms, Principles & Objectives of Community Organization, The Process, Labor Welfare & HR Management, Approaches, Techniques of Social Case Work, and so on.
  • Home Science (Paper-II & III) will consist of topics like Nutrition Science, Food Science, Clothing, Textiles, Institutional Management, Resource Management, Non-formal & Extension Education, Human Development, Developmental & Educational Communication, Methods of Research, etc.
  • English (Paper-II) will be consisted of topics like Jacobean to Restoration Periods, Chaucer to Shakespeare, Augustan Age, Romantic, Victorian, Modern, Contemporary Period, America and other non-British Literature, etc,
  • English (Paper-III) will consist of topics like Criticism & Literary Theory, British Literature from Chaucer to the present day, History of English language, etc.
  • Sanskrit (Paper-II) will consist of topics like Darsana, Vedic Literature, Grammar & Linguistics, Sanskrit Literature, and Poetics.
  • Sanskrit (Paper-III) will be consisted of topics like Brahmins & Aranyakas, Samhitas, Vedangas, Grammer & Schools of Vedic Interpretation, Linguistics, Mahabhasya, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Poetry, and Prose, etc.
  • Tamil (Paper-II) will consist of topics like Authors & Books, History of Tamil Language up to the 20th century, etc.
  • Tamil (Paper-III) will cover themes such as dramas, poetry, stories, grammar, and so forth.
  • Law (Paper-II) will include themes such as Legal Theory, Indian Constitutional Law, Public International Law, Family Law, Contract Law, Tort Law, Crime Law, and Labour Law, among others.

The exam conducting body will provide the answer key on the official website. This will be available shortly once the written tests are completed. This will allow applicants to double-check the right answers and compare them to their own. The Answer Key has the right to be challenged by candidates.Make sure to submit a complaint through online means within 15 days, since no grievances about the Answer Key will be considered after that time period. To contest the answer key, send a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000. There will be different answer keys released for each paper.
