But do you know the day which is celebrated to recognise the contribution that men make to our society, our families, and our communities.Unlike the women’s day, there is a day for men- ‘International men’s day’ which is commemorated every year on 19th November.
The International Men’s Day concept was first launched by Thomas Oaster on February 7, 1992 but later on it was revived on November 19, 1999, by the people of Trinidad and Tobago. It was inaugurated in India in 2007. More than 80 countries commemorate it even though it is currently not a UN-recognized day.
