Educational Qualification:

• Qualified SSLC of Tamil Nadu State or Equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Must have passed Junior Grade Typewriting Exam in English/ Tamil from the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent degree from a recognized board.

                      Or,

• Must have passed Higher Grade Typewriting Exam in English/Tamil from the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent degree from a recognized board. 

Training-related Qualification:- 

• Candidates need to have as much as 120 hours of training in Typewriting Institute from a Government or Government aided or Self-financing Polytechnic Institute.
• Private University candidates can also apply for the post after completing 120 hours of training from a Private Institute in Typewriting.
• Candidates should and must maintain a record of all the practical classes that have attended by them according to the syllabus. This record book needs to be submitted during the Practical Examination.
