UPSC will stop accepting the application by 10th May, 2022. • UPSC Exam Calendar states that the CAPF for Assistant Commandments (ACs) will be conducted on 7th August, 2022.
• This recruitment is for the post of Assistant Commandments who are placed in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo‐Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). 
• Candidates need to hold a bachelor’s degree to be eligible for the recruitment process.

CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam Eligibility Criteria

UPSC has set up a list of Eligibility Criteria which you need to fulfil. Else, your candidature might get cancelled. Here is the list of those criteria.

1. Age Limit

Candidates must be born between August 2, 1997 and August 1, 2002. Their age as of 1st August 2022 should be:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years

2. Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree from either of the following institutes

• A recognised university
• A University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India 
• Other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament 
• A University declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 

Candidates can also possess an equivalent qualification.

3. Nationality

Candidates can be either of the following: 

• A citizen of India
• A Subject of Bhutan
• A subject of Nepal
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st Jan 1962 to permanently settle in India.
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries to permanently settle in India.

CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam Selection Process

If you are applying for this recruitment, you have to go through three stages before getting selected. As a candidate, you must be aware of these steps. They are listed below.

Stage 1: Written Test

• This test will have two papers. 
• First one will be of 250 marks and the second one of 200 marks.
• Candidates will get 2 hours and 3 hours respectively for each paper.

Stage 2: Medical Test

Candidates will then go through a Medical Test to check if they are suitable for the job or not. Their physical standards will also be checked during this stage.
