Respected Principal, Vice President, Cherished Teachers, and My Devoted Students- Everyone, please accept my greetings!

I,________, as the Humanities section class teacher, have been given the opportunity to speak on Constitution Day, which I consider a privilege. Every year on November 26th, Constitution Day commemorates the adoption of our constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. On January 26, 1950, the constitution went into effect for the first time.

In India, Constitution Day is also referred to as Samvidhan Divas. The day is observed to honour and celebrate Dr. Bhim Rao (B.R.) Ambedkar, the father of our constitution. He drafted the constitution after conducting extensive research and analysis, which is why our constitution is regarded as India’s supreme document. It had a futuristic vision and a dormant message of peace and tranquillity.

The Indian constitution teaches a unique lesson. You may be wondering what the lesson is associated with the constitution, as it is simply a legal document that every individual who is a citizen of India must follow. The message embedded in the constitution’s creation is one of patience and unanimity. Every policy was drafted by the constituent assembly with each community in mind. They made decisions unanimously and with equal agreement.

Each article in the constitution was written with the evolution of society in mind. You, as students, should learn this trait of our founding fathers, as it will benefit you all in your future endeavours.

Constitution Day helps to light the lamp of knowledge in the minds of the next generation, which includes students like you who understand the significance of the Indian constitution, respect it, and adhere to it religiously. It keeps us connected in an era when people have forgotten the value of democracy. Celebrating Constitution Day allows us to pay tribute to the father of the Indian Constitution and spread his philosophies and ideas. India was initially governed by princely states, and there was a need for a document that laid the framework for our country’s political code, rules, and procedures, among other things. There was also a need for a document that outlined the fundamental rights and responsibilities of citizens residing in our country so that we could thrive and contribute to the overall development of the country in order to reach new heights.

As a result, I would like you all to read our constitution at least once in your lifetime because it is well augmented from every dimension and provides a reflection of the Indian Nation. The constitution is considered comprehensive because it accommodates our needs and priorities, and we should all respect it in every way possible. The makers of the constitution included an important aspect in the constitution that every individual is equal before the law and that there is no discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, or language.

Thank You!
