Madras High Court Office Assistant Selection Process

The candidates will go through 3 stages of the selection process.

  • Written Examination
  • Practical Test
  • Oral Test

Common Written Examination

Written Examination is the first stage of the selection process. The exam will be of 50 marks. The marks obtained in the Written Examination will be only qualifying in nature.

Practical Test

The applicants who are qualified in the written examination are called for the Practical Test. It is conducted for 50 marks and the applicant  must get at least 15 marks. The practical test is conducted to test their skills in office maintenance; office well keeping, housekeeping, hygiene, house-hold articles maintenance, Office articles or equipment maintenance, other office duties, house-hold duties including food production, cooking, cleaning, food, and beverage service, etc.

Oral Test

The applicants who are qualified in the Practical Test will be called for the Oral Test. This is conducted for 10 marks. The minimum reservation mark is 3. The object of the Oral Test is to test the applicant with their mental alertness, skills, attitude, ethics, character, etc.
