ESIC UDC Selection Process 2022: Candidates who want to work as an ESIC UDC (Upper-Division Clerk) must pass three stages: Phase I (prelims), Phase II (mains), and Phase III (finals) (Computer Skills test). Candidates must meet additional eligibility criteria in addition to the three stages. Every candidate applying for a position as a UDC must meet the minimal requirements, which include a minimum age limit, qualifying marks, educational qualifications, and so on. ESIC (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation) is a national level examination in which the selection procedure is the same in all states, but the cut off marks vary. All applicants for the position of Upper Division Clerk must be aware of the stages of the selection process. There are three steps to this:
1.Preliminary Exams (Phase I) (Objective)
2.Phase 2: The Main (Objective)
3.Computer Skill Test (Phase III)
The written exam, known as the Prelims, is the first stage in the selection of Upper- Division Clerks. This paper will be an Objective Type paper with 100 questions and a one-hour time limit. The comprehensive and clear information can be found in the table below.

1.The scores acquired in Phase I (Prelims) will be qualifying, but they will not be taken into account when determining the final merit.
2.The time permitted will be only 60 minutes, and there will be a total of 100 questions, each worth two marks.
3.For Paper I, there is no sectional time (Prelims).
A quarter of the given marks will be deducted for each incorrectly marked answer.
4.Candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio of 1:10, or 10 times the number of positions available.

After passing the Paper I (Prelims), students will begin preparing for the Paper II (Main), which is an objective type paper with candidates having to complete the exam in just 120 minutes. For more information about the Phase II (Main) exam, see the table below.

1.For the final selection, the marks acquired in Phase II (Main) will be taken into account.
2.There will be 120 minutes allocated, and each question will be worth one mark.
For Paper-II, there is no sectional time (Main).
3.A penalty of 1/4th of the allocated mark will be assessed for each incorrectly marked answer.
4.The candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5, or 5 times the number of positions available.

Following the Paper-II (Main), applicants will be chosen for Paper-III (Computer Skills), which will be the final phase of selection for the ESIC UDC. This round will last 30 minutes, and candidates will have 30 minutes to finish it.Candidates’ basic computer skills will be examined in a set amount of time throughout this test. 2. The grades you earn will be qualifying in nature.
3. The merit list will be based on the results of Paper III (computer skills).
Note:
1.In Paper I (Prelims), a point of +2 will be awarded for each correct answer, while a mark of 14 (i.e. 0.5) will be deducted for each incorrect response.
2.In Paper-II (mains), one point will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 points will be deducted for each incorrect response.
3.For every state, the ESIC UDC selection procedure is the same.
