In the state of Tamil Nadu, the TNUSRB SI (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board) holds a state-level entrance test to fill openings for Sub-Inspector in Taluk, Armed Reserved, and Tamil Nadu Special Police. The vacancies of 2022 have been disclosed by the authorities. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 444 vacancies, of which 399 vacancies are for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk) and 45 for Sub-Inspectors of Police (AR) posts. Out of the total vacancies for Taluk and AR, 30% will be allotted for Women / Transgender candidates. Women / Transgender candidates shall also be entitled to compete in the remaining 70% of vacancies along with men candidates in the Taluk and AR vacancies. To be considered for the Tamil Nadu Sub Inspector Post 2022, the applicant must pass three phases. Written Test, PMT/PET/EU Tests, and Interview Round are the three steps. A detailed description of these stages is given below.

Only open quota candidates are allowed to take this test. Physical fitness tests are waived for those applicants who are taking the TNUSRB SI Exam 2022 as part of a departmental quota. Applicants for departmental quotas, on the other hand, must pass endurance tests.
