NEET Exam on 21st May: The Supreme Court dismissed the plea to postpone NEET PG 2022 Exam. A petition regarding the postponement of the NEET PG Exam by 8 to 10 weeks was submitted to the Supreme Court. The reason behind the petition was the difficulties candidates faced, for example, the NEET PG 2021 counseling. On 13 May 2022, the Supreme Court presented its decision to not delay the NEET examination.
According to the NEET PG Latest Update, the Union Government said that “any delay in conduct of the exams would mean fewer doctors in hospitals”. Acknowledged by a bench led by D.Y Chandrachud, the statement holds true especially when the country is still healing from the pandemic.

Any delay would infarct upon patient care since this will lead to fewer number of resident doctors as there are supposed to be three batches of postgraduate doctors available in hospitals as opposed to only two batches available now”

The decision will only be fair to the lakhs of aspirants who prepared sincerely for the exam. An argument regarding the lack of sufficient doctors was raised by the Center. The Supreme Court accepted it considering the impact on patients and hospitals. To avoid any harmful consequences to the country’s medical state, SC refused to postpone NEET PG 2022.
