The Central Teacher Eligibility Test Examination (CTET) is a PAN India Examination in which candidates have to qualify for the CTET Examination to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in KVS, NVS, and DSSSB Schools. But for most of the candidates, it is very much confusing about ‘ Is CTET Compulsory For PGT In KVS’ for the PGT Post in KVS teaching recruitment examinations. So, here we are clearing the confusion about whether Is CTET Compulsory For PGT In KVS.
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is not compulsory for the PGT Post. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted for the PRTs and TGTs. Unlike TGTs and PRTs, the candidates who have completed their Post Graduate do not have to appear for the CTET Exam to become eligible for the recruitment exams. The candidates must complete their B.Ed course as mandatory eligibility.
CTET is mandatory to qualify to become a teacher in government & private schools. After qualifying for the CTET, candidates can apply to any private school, or government-aided school, and even can apply to an Army school. It is most important to note that candidates become eligible to apply for DSSSB, KVS & NVS exams.
CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. The essential qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any school is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.
