Liz Truss to Become UK's New Prime Minister
Queen Elizabeth II formally appointed Conservative Party leader Liz Truss as Britain's new Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Earlier, in an audience with the Queen, Boris Johnson formally resigned as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Truss is the 15th Prime Minister to serve during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
She was previously the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, a position she held until September 15, 2021.
