8th August 2022 Know Some Facts and the 2022 Theme
The United Nations General Assembly established International Youth Day in 1999 to raise awareness about the challenges that youth face and to celebrate their accomplishments.
The idea behind this theme is to take action in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
-In 1991, the concept of International Youth Day was first proposed.-Youths are people between the ages of 15 and 24.
-The world's youth account for one-sixth of the total human population.-77 percent of young people work informally.-Every year, 20% of teenagers experience a mental health problem.
