Ada Lovelace First Computer Programmer

She created the world's first machine algorithm for an early computing machine that existed only on paper in the 1840s.

Lovelace was a brilliant mathematician, owing in part to her fortunate birth.

Lovelace died of cancer when she was 36 years old, in 1852.

Ada Lovelace Day commemorates her contributions to science and engineering more than 150 years later.
