Speech on Pollution-Free Diwali

Good morning members present in the house. Greetings, my name is Sharia (your name) from Standard 10 (your class). Today is Diwali, and I’ll be giving a Speech on Pollution Free Diwali.

Diwali is the most celebrated festival across the Indian territory. During Diwali, families come together to enjoy the festival. They do many activities like shop, painting their home, ear and distributing good food, and burst crackers. Fireworks have now become an integral part of this festival, but as these crackers are made of harmful chemicals, they pollute the environment.

These crackers release harmful gases into the environment and emit loud noise which causes pollution. Air pollution is the most important among these. Every year pollution sees a sharp rise on the very next day of Diwali. A significant amount of noise pollution also takes place, which is harmful to both the environment and humans. We must take measures to prevent the use of firecrackers. Parents must educate their kids on the importance of pollution-free Diwali celebrations. Wish you all a Happy and Safe Diwali.

Speech on cracker Free Diwali

Good morning members present in the house. Greetings, my name is Sharia (your name) from Standard 10 (your class). Today is Diwali, and I’ll be giving a Speech on Cracker Free Diwali.

Diwali is the festival of lights that brings good fortune, love and prosperity to all. The diyas illuminate the environment as well as cast light on the darkness of poverty and ignorance. The festival was originally celebrated by lighting every dark corner, street and house in the locality. Crackers and sweets added to the celebrations and our enjoyment doubled forgetting the harm these crackers invite.

From eight to eighty, we all celebrate a cracker-full Diwali. The level of excitement while bursting crackers had no comparison. But this unbridled excitement is slowly costing us high in terms of pollution. We must all pledge to celebrate cracker-free Diwali by going back to the root ways of celebrating Diwali like putting emphasis on decorating our homes, light diyas in all corners of our house, street and locality, spending quality time with our family and friends, visiting people who do not have a family or are spending the day away from the family. This way we can celebrate a cracker-free but prosperous Diwali.

Thank You

Green Diwali Speech in English

Good morning members present in the house. Greetings, my name is Sharia (your name) from Standard 10 (your class). Today is Diwali, and I’ll be delivering a Green Diwali Speech in English.

Diwali is a festival celebrated with joy to mark the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. But the pollution caused during the night of Diwali and on subsequent days has been criticised by environmentalists, experts and all wise-minded people. Pollution during festival time, irrespective of Diwali, New Year, Eid, and Christmas causes discomfort to pets, animals, birds, children, the elderly and sick people. The way of celebrating with toxic chemicals not just impacts the very day, but remains for many consecutive days after Diwali.

The Ieda of Green Diwali then came to the limelight. Green Diwali is a way of celebrating the festival of lights with minimal environmental damage. It can be celebrated by limiting or discarding the usage of firecrackers which emit harmful smoke, and sound. We must dispose of waste properly, use green crackers which are permitted by the law. We must never disturb stray animals, restrict our celebration to ourselves and not cause harm to our fellow mates and living beings. This way we can live to the true essence of Diwali and celebrate it with our close ones.

Thank You.

Eco-Friendly Diwali Speech

Good morning members present in the house. Greetings, my name is Sharia (your name) from Standard 10 (your class). Today is Diwali, and I’ll be giving an Eco-Friendly Diwali Speech.

Deepavali is one of the widely celebrated festivals not just in India but worldwide. Every year we celebrate the return of good over evil by celebrating Diwali. But these days Diwali is reduced to the idea of bursting crackers forgetting the true way and spirit of the day. These harmful fireworks emit gases which reduce visibility to an extent that it generates a dense cloud of smoke. Apart from polluting the air, these crackers create noise pollution; the noise leads to hypertension, high-stress levels, hearing loss and sleep disturbance in elderly people and infants. The increasing pollution level in cities and towns had put a question on bursting the firecrackers. It is a worrying problem as out of the top 20 most polluted cities in the world, India holds an infamous record of having the highest share in the table.

But a wise way to avoid contributing to the already polluted cities is to go for a celebration which is eco-friendly. We must say no to firecrackers this Diwali. In the initial days, we must stick to lighting our locality with traditional earthen lamps or diyas, instead of electric lights. We must use flowers and leaves for decorating our homes during Diwali. We must rangolis by using natural elements like flowers, leaves, rice powder, petals, turmeric etc. It is a festival which we must celebrate with family and friends and not by causing any harm to society. Let us take a pledge to celebrate Diwali with lights, gifts, and sweets and not crackers.

Thank You.
