The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) was founded in 2005 on East Coast Road in Muttukadu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, about 30 kilometers from the airport, Mofussil bus terminal, and Chennai Central railway station. Its purpose is to act as a national resource center for the empowerment of people with multiple disabilities, such as those who have two or more disabling conditions. Vision problems, vision loss, locomotor illness, hearing problems, mental retardation, mental illness, and leprosy cured persons are the disabilities listed under the PWD (1995) Act.

The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities invites qualified candidates to apply and attend a walk-in-interview interview. For the purpose of choosing applicants for the roles of Occupational Therapist and Trainer in Surgical Shoes and Leather Work, NIEPMD has decided to conduct interviews. On June 15 and June 20, interviews will be held on the Chennai campus. This opportunity is available to job seekers looking for positions in Central Government organizations in Tamil Nadu. To fill the above-mentioned position, there are currently four openings.
