The Ujjayanta Palace is called Nuyungma in the local Tripuri language. It is a museum and the former residence of the King of Tripura. It is situated in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. The palace was constructed between 1899 and 1901 by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya Debbarma. Today, it stands on the banks of two lakes surrounded by gardens that are inspired by the European style. This monument was the home of the ruling Manikya dynasty until Tripura became a part of India in October 1949. Then, the palace was purchased from the royal family by the Government of Tripura in 1972–73. The cost of the transaction was estimated to e around Rs. 2.5 million. After this, it was used to house the State Legislative Assembly until July 2011. Currently, it is a State Museum primarily showcasing the lifestyle, arts, culture, tradition, and utility crafts of communities of northeast India. It also showcases a lot of stone sculptures, coinage of the Manikya dynasty, and some other artifacts.

Unakoti is a chiseled marvel hidden in plain sight. It is one of the most Famous Monuments in Northeast India. It is located 178 kilometers from Agartala. It is an ancient stone gate that opens into massive stone and rock sculptures carved out of a hillside. Bending bridges and broken staircases run between the slopes. A 30-feet tall Shiva’s head, called Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava, is surrounded by sculptures of goddesses like Ganga sitting on a Capricorn and Durga standing on a lion.
