The ESIC UDC selection procedure is divided into three stages:
- Preliminary Exam- The UDC Preliminary Exam is objective. The exam is divided into four components, with a total score of 200. There are 100 questions in all, each worth two points. For each incorrect answer, a quarter of the total marks will be deducted. The prelims score will not be taken into account when determining final merit.
- The mains test for Upper Division Clerk comprises four components as well. There are 200 questions in all, each worth one mark. This exam is worth 200 points in total. For each erroneous response, a quarter of the total grade will be subtracted.
- It is a descriptive type of written examination. Computer Skill Test- This is a descriptive written test. The written exam will last a total of 30 minutes. It is divided into the sections below:
