Defence Expo, organised by India Exhibition Organization, is an event to promote India’s defence industry’s export potential. Defence Exhibition Organisation is an autonomous Indian government organisation founded in 1981 that is in charge of organising international exhibitions such as defence exhibitions and Indian participation in overseas exhibitions. With numerous international orders won by Indian companies in recent years, India has already established itself as an emerging defence manufacturing hub. Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions a $5 billion export by 2025 in order to achieve defence self-sufficiency.
Defence Expo 2022 is quickly approaching and will be held from October 18 to 22. It is a five-day event with three business days and two public days. On all five days, live demonstrations showcasing the equipment and skill sets of the Armed Forces, DPSUs, and Industry will be held at the Sabarmati riverfront through active participation and coordinated efforts at all levels. The event is only open to business visitors and is not open to the general public. To register for the event, follow these steps:

The 12th edition of the Defence Expo, India’s flagship exhibition on Land, Naval, and Homeland Security systems, will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, according to the Ministry of Defence. The event will take place from October 18 to October 22, 2022. Though the event was originally scheduled for March, the Russia-Ukraine war made it difficult for a large number of foreign participants to arrive in India with their equipment.
DefExpo 2022 will take place in three venues, covering an area of over one lakh square metres: Helipad Exhibition Centre, Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Sabarmati River Front.
India is open to doing business on a mutually beneficial collaborative basis, in the spirit of giving and taking, for everyone’s overall benefit. The exhibitor list for the 2022 Defence Expo event has not yet been released. We will post an update once it is available.
