The Government of Assam has authorized the Assam Science and Technology University, to conduct the Common Entrance Exam (CEE). The examination is conducted to select deserving candidates for admission into the 1st Semester of B.Tech Programmes in the Engineering colleges of Assam for the academic year 2022-23. Those candidates who clear the entrance examination will be admitted to the various undergraduate engineering programs at various government and private affiliated colleges in the state of Assam. The selected candidates who have made it to the merit list will be undergoing the Assam CEE Counselling

Details to be Filled in the Assam CEE Counselling Form 2022

Candidates who clear the Assam CEE exam 2022, will be eligible to register online for the counselling from the website. The registration process includes filling out the Assam CEE application form 2022, uploading all the requisite documents, and paying counselling fees. 

Candidates must note that Form B is a very important aspect of the Assam CEE counselling process. Hence, candidates must fill out the form with accuracy to avoid any errors. The following are the details that are required to be filled in- 

• Name of the candidate
• Nationality
• Religion
• Gender
• Mother Tongue
• Mother and father’s name
• Occupation of father/guardian
• The annual income of parents
• Communication address
• Permanent home address
• Candidate’s age as of August 1, 2022,
• Caste
• State where the candidate is a permanent resident
• Extra-Curricular Activities & Proficiency
• University/Board/Council Registration No./Board/Year of Registration
• Details of the non-domicile candidate’s parents who are in service under Govt./Statutory Organization/Department Bodies.
• Name of State/Administration (if applied against reserved seats)
• Whether the candidate is the son/daughter of an employee/ex-employee of DTE Assam
• Examination Roll No. Of University/Board Council last appeared/passed
• Details of Qualified Exams
• Percentage of Marks Obtained in Qualifying Examination
• Whether discontinued studies in between passing the last examination of Board/Council/University

Assam CEE Counselling Procedure 2022

Candidates whose names appeared on the merit list would have to fill out the counselling form as mentioned above. Moreover, there is a well-defined counselling procedure and seat allotment, that candidates can take note of, as we have mentioned in the step-by-step process below –

Step 1: Candidates need to register online for the counselling by visiting the official website within the dates notified by the authority. 

Step 2: Candidates must fill out the registration form being the Form B as specified in the section above and also pay Rs. 700 as a counselling fee. Candidates must carefully enter their choices of institutes and courses during the registration process.

Step 3: Further. the concerned authority will allot seats to candidates based on merit and choices filled. Candidates are required to check their seat allotment status as per the schedule notified by the authority.

Step 4: Finally, the candidates who have been allotted the seats, will have to upload their documents and form A online for the verification. These documents will be verified by the allotted institute following which the admission will be confirmed.

Documents Required for Assam CEE Counselling 2022

Candidates are required to upload certain documents once the seats have been allotted to them. So here is a comprehensive list of the documents needed to be uploaded for your ready reference and besides needs to be carried along in original and photocopies-

• Admit card of Assam CEE
• 10th standard qualifying examination admit card or pass certificate (for age proof issued by Board/Council)
• Four copies of a recent passport size photograph
• 10th standard mark sheet
• 12th standard admit card
• 12th standard mark sheet
• Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) (to be issued by D.C./S.D.O (Civil) concerning district/sub-division)
• Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Academic gap Certificate (if applicable)
• Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
