Clearest Image of the Planet's ring till now!
New images of Neptune's outer rings have been captured by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope.
Neptune's dim dust bands, as well as many brilliant, thin rings, are clearly visible in the Webb image.
Galatea, Naiad, Thalassa, Despina, Proteus, Larissa, and Triton, seven of Neptune's fourteen moons, can be seen in the image.
The planet's rings have not been seen in such clarity since 1989, when NASA's Voyager 2 became the first spacecraft to examine Neptune.
